We are currently seeking an outstanding VP of Marketing with the experience, creativity, and drive to help transform the way education works. We are looking for a highly effective, strategic leader who inspires others and is not afraid to roll up his or her sleeves to contribute directly and immediately.

 

This individual will be part of our executive team, and will lead strategy and execution of all aspects of our marketing program. The VP of Marketing designs and executes innovate marketing programs that increase customer demand and sales. This individual will work closely with our marketing team and Director of Marketing and reports to our Chief Executive Officer.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Create and drive marketing strategic planning and executive communication.

  • Take full accountability for the success of the marketing and business development organization.
  • Work with executive team to create marketing strategy, go-to-market plans, and goals.
  • Effectively present strategy, plans, and results to team and board.
  • Promote an environment of metrics-driven decision making.
  • Maintain effective working relationships internally with sales, customer success, and product development leaders.

 Build the Netchemia brand and establish thought leadership position in the industry.

  • Accurately and effectively communicate Netchemia’s vision in the marketplace.
  • Implement communication reflective of Netchemia’s branding guidelines.
  • Build an engaged community of advocates.
    • Develop and manage influencer programs to evangelize product and brand.
    • Develop customer loyalty program.
    • Manage Facebook, LinkedIn, and other communities.
    • Plan and manage company presence at industry events, conferences, etc.
    • Develop a content strategy for marketing and sales programs (SEO, Blog, Email, ebooks, whitepapers, etc.).

 Develop and manage Business Development strategy and team.

  • Create and execute an effective business development strategy to meet our short and long term goals.
  • Identify, negotiate, and support business partnerships.
  • Identify, manage, and leverage education partners.
  • Develop, manage and leverage state level relationships.
  • Establish solution ecosystem including software, content and consulting partners.

 Responsible for lead generation/customer acquisition programs.

  • Manage digital marketing and e-mail campaign strategy
  • Identify and test new lead generation channels.
  • Leverage campaign tracking and analytics across all channels.
  • Website management and optimization.
  • Manage, optimize, and report customer acquisition costs.

 Develop and manage sales enablement programs and materials.

  • Provide tools to improve the effectiveness of our sales team.
  • Lead scoring and qualification to help sales prioritize leads.
  • Develop content and nurture programs to warm leads for the sales team.

Lead research and reporting to empower the organization with actionable customer and market insights.

  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to best position Netchemia in the marketplace.
  • Drive market segmentation.

 Team Development

  • Build, lead and develop an amazing marketing team.

 

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • Marketing B2B SaaS products.
  • 10+ years marketing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in senior/strategic level marketing management positions.
  • Building and executing marketing programs targeted to education or small business customers.
  • Creating data driven programs to drive strategy and decision-making.
  • Building and nurturing high performing teams.
  • Leveraging digital media to drive customer acquisition.
  • Creating and managing thought leadership and brand building programs.
  • Leveraging content, collateral and insights to support sales teams.
  • Working in fast pace start-up (or start-up like) environments.
  • Selecting, managing and leveraging marketing and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Marketo, InsightSquared etc.).
